At the kick-off of every project, Studio Tincup does thorough
research into several aspects of the project. This research
includes consulting with the local governing city to determine
any possible applicable codes and restrictions. The requirements
set forth by each city are addressed within the design. If city
approval is required, Studio Tincup can guide a project through
that process to ensure approval and permitting.
Studio Tincup also does research on the type of project being
produced. For example, if a homeowner requests an “English Style”
garden, research will be conducted to provide imagery supporting
this design style. This helps in the generation of a variety
of ideas as well as obtaining feedback from the client on likes
and dislikes. Or if a client working on an industrial business
site would like a “Hill Country” themed entry, we will conduct
research on imagery to support these ideas. This will include
images on plant materials as well as hardscape materials.
Studio Tincup provides a basis for every project grounded in research specifically oriented towards that project as well as past experience. This research starts with schematic design and continues through construction documentation.
