Simply Smucker’s is the Retail Store for the The J.M.
Smucker Company Headquarters located in Orrville, Ohio.
Simply Smucker's is the brand showcase store utilized
to exhibit and sell their latest and best products. The
challenge of the project was developing a landscape design
that would uniquely compliment the products of Smucker’s.
The landscape architects relied on their knowledge of
the plant materials for this region. The overall master
plan included the siting of a large fruit orchard to the
west of the buildings and includes a variety of apple
trees. The planting choices were selected to compliment
the products used in Smucker’s jams and jellies. The landscape
plan also included plantings of strawberries near the
entrance to the store. Entry walkways are flanked by flowering
groundcovers, perennials and shrub plantings along with
flowering ornamental trees.
